If BIG RUNNING BRED is your jam then here's the dude for you. Seriously, just look at the papers. By an own son of CORONA CARTEL out of a JESS LOUISIANA BLUE mare.
Baby J has the coolest style with looks to boot. 16 hands of massive muscle. He's strong and feather light at the same time (literally you can ride him around by his mane, we have videos to prove it). He'll leave a set of hock prints in the ground so deep you'll need to drag after.
NOT A HOT HEAD. If you want a horse that's actually enjoyable to keep in shape with a smooth, easy goin', rockin' chair lope, then look no further. Your BF/Hubby can keep him legged up for you. But fair warning he might try to steal him for himself.
And of course we don't call him Baby J for no reason.
He's got the personality to match the name. He's DOG GENTLE, though he's never cared much for dogs. He's a lip fiddlin', lead rope chewin', pull the blanket off the rack if it's in reach just for kicks kinda guy. If you're the serious type that doesn't see the humor in any of that then he's not the one for you.
I am all about FULL DISCLOSURE. He suffered a small fracture to his pelvis back in 2018, he had more than the required amount of time off, little over a year, and is fully recovered. I haven't done much with him since bringing him back. Prior to his injury he was steady 2D here in North Texas. Has been about a second off just loping the handful of times I've ran him since.
He does require maintenance but no more than the typical barrel horse! Routine hock and stifle injections to keep him feelin' fresh. He loves all kinds of therapy. Chiro, magnawave, accupunture, massage, you name it. If you've had one where you spend all the monies on all the things and they don't show you the least bit of gratitude, well, Baby J will always let you know your efforts are MUCH appreciated. It's just who he is.
He is located in Pilot Point. Has only been ridden a handful of times over the past couple months so will need some long trotting to get his wind back up!
My loss is your gain, I simply don't have the time for this guy and I know he can be someone's superstar.
