7/14/22 just after being awarded the NJHSRA World Champion Barrel Racer Skylar Nicholas shares her "Story Behind The Glory".
We have owned Jessie (Perrywater dash) from a yearling. My mom trained her on barrels, and ran her in Futurities her 4 year old year, I took her at the end of her 4 year old year when I was 8, and seasoned/finished her out.
We have 4 babies out of her so far, and plan to have more via embryo transfer.
Jessie’s mindset is amazing for a barrel horse! She warms up very easily, goes in and makes her run, and then comes out and right back down to her relaxed self. She does have a dominant personality towards other mares, but very kind towards humans.
She’s one that you can ride bareback in a halter if you feel like it lol! I have been so blessed with Jessie and can’t even believe what God has done for me and her!
