Vanzi had a consistent weekend in Verndale at the annual Sundby's October race! Friday night a tip due rider error cost us 10th in the 1D, Saturday and Sunday she made two solid 2D runs, picking up a check on Sunday!  Video is Sunday's $ winning run! Truthfully, Saturday's run was prettier, but I'm so excited with her progress. Photo shows what the weather was like....brrrrrrr!

Vanzi reached a personal goal this weekend at the PEWC Finals by making 14 second run! Despite the tip, I'm thrilled that all of the work we've been putting in finally showed on the clock. This run would've had us in the top 40 (12th in the 2D, 36th overall) on Friday night out of well over 300 TOUGH horses. While our other runs didn't go as well as this one (young horses are SO humbling) she did take home $473 in Sunday's run.

Definitely a would've, should've, could've run on the rider's part! It's exciting to see her starting to get smoother and faster!

Vanzi ran second in the 3D in an extremely tough crowd of 353 head with a lot of room for improvement! I couldn't be more excited to get more runs under her belt and to smooth things out in the practice pen. Side note: This placing added $497 to her LTE, marking her first "big" check.
